Committee Descriptions

The Advancement Committee supports the future of Central Children's Academy (CCA) by fostering community engagement, strengthening student retention, & encouraging fundraising participation. This group helps plan & promote events that enrich the CCA community. The committee also plays a vital role in supporting the CCA Annual Fund by building awareness & encouraging participation, as well as contributing to the success of fundraisers by securing auction item donations from local businesses.

The Teacher Appreciation Week Committee celebrates all CCA teachers & Staff. Join this subcommittee to help coordinate donations, organize/sign-up volunteers, & plan themes, decorations, & special gifts throughout the week plus coordinate Teacher Treats each month. 

Members of this subcommittee need to be available during the week of May 4-May 8, 2026.

The School Decorating Subcommittee helps bring joy & school spirit to the CCA campus by creating a welcoming & festive atmosphere throughout the year. Committee members will schedule approved times to decorate doors, entrances, break rooms, & other shared spaces for seasonal moments such as fall, winter, & holidays. Members provide or gather donations for decorations & ensure timely removal after each occasion.

The Parent Social Events Subcommittee fosters community & connection by planning & promoting gatherings for CCA parents throughout the year. Events can range from simple meet-ups (such as setting a time, date, & restaurant location) to more elaborate activities like game nights or themed socials. This committee provides opportunities for parents to build relationships, strengthen the CCA community, & enjoy time together outside of school events.
